Introduced:
1876

Beer Category/Style:  Premium Regular – American-style lager

Taste Profile:  Fresh and subtle fruit notes, a delicate malt sweetness and balanced bitterness for a clean, snappy finish. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavorful, crisp and pure beer with blended layers of premium American and European hop aromas, brewed for the perfect balance of flavor and refreshment.

Ingredients/Brewing:  Brewed using a blend of imported and classic American aroma hops and a blend of barley malts and rice. Budweiser is brewed with time-honored methods including “kraeusening” for natural carbonation and Beechwood aging, which results in unparalleled balance and character.

Interesting Facts:  Budweiser was introduced in 1876 when company founder Adolphus Busch set out to create the United States’ first truly national beer brand - brewed to be universally popular and transcend regional tastes.

Each batch of Budweiser follows the same family recipe used by five generations of Busch family brewmasters.

Samples of Budweiser are flown into St. Louis everyday from each of A-B’s 12 regional breweries. There, in a special tasting room, the beer is sampled and judged by our brewmasters to ensure its quality and consistency.

Lemon Shandy

Shock Top Lemon Shandy is a unique interpretation of a classic style – a refreshing and smooth wheat beer perfectly complemented by spices and natural lemonade flavor at 4.2% ABV.

"For years, brewers around the world have experimented with fruit-flavored beer mixers, like shandys and radlers, which have been popular concoctions in Britain and Germany," said Jill Vaughn, brewmaster for Shock Top.  "When the temperatures start to warm up, you appreciate the added level of refreshment a lemonade flavor can bring to your beer, and Shock Top's citrusy base provided the ideal starting point for creating this new recipe.  We definitely stayed true to Shock Top's wheat beer essence, while crafting a new flavor for adults to enjoy this summer."

Wheat IPA

SHOCK TOP WHEAT IPA

Shock Top Wheat IPA is no traditional beer. It’s a unique hybrid that combines the fresh flavor and smoothness of wheat beer with the crisp hop bitterness of an IPA. The result is a beer that is truly like no other.

To serve, pour down the side of the glass until a half inch is left in the bottle. Swirl the remaining brew and pour to produce a rich, thick collar of foam that releases the citrusy Cascade hop aroma.

Raspberry Wheat

SHOCK TOP RASPBERRY WHEAT

Raspberry Wheat delivers the same smooth taste of Shock Top, with a hint of raspberry flavor. This traditional Belgian-style wheat ale is brewed with essence of wild raspberry and hand-selected hops. It’s this combination that gives it its crisp and distinctive Shock Top taste, with its own flavorful twist. This unfiltered ale has a light-golden color and a smooth finish, and if you’re curious, it technically doesn’t, not count toward your daily fruit intake.

We know you’ll enjoy drinking Shock Top Raspberry Wheat as much as we enjoy brewing it.

Boddingtons

Renowned for its golden color, distinctive creamy head, smooth body and easy drinking character, Boddingtons is a medium-bodied pale ale. It has a creamy, malty and slightly sweet flavor and features a clean, pleasant aftertaste.

Alcohol: 4.6 %
Calories: 129
Carbohydrates: 9.1 grams
Protein: 1.2 grams

Introduced/Availability:  1778 in Manchester, England; available nationwide

Beer Category/Style:  High-End import — English pub ale

Taste Profile:  Renowned for its golden color, distinctive creamy head, smooth body and easy drinking character, Boddingtons is a medium-bodied pale ale. It has a creamy, malty and slightly sweet flavor and features a clean, pleasant aftertaste.

Ingredients/Brewing:  Boddingtons uses a traditional brewing process and is 4.6 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).

Interesting Facts:  On the corner of Great Ducie Street and New Bridge Street in Strangeways, Manchester, is where two grain merchants, Thomas Caister and Thomas Fry, founded the Strangeways Brewery in 1778. Henry Boddington joined the business in 1832 as a traveler (the local vernacular for repairman) and rose to become a partner. Henry Boddington became the sole owner in 1853. The company was renamed Boddingtons Breweries in 1886 following Henry’s death.

In 1992, Boddingtons introduced the widget can and was one of the first beers to use this technology. When Boddingtons is canned, the combination of the carbon dioxide and nitrogen needed to create the head of the beer is less than ideal. The Draught Flow System inside of the widget can consists of a plastic, nitrogen-filled ball or widget that helps the carbon dioxide already dissolved in the beer form additional tiny bubbles. This keeps the head stable and makes the beer as close to a draught brew as possible.

Boddingtons is imported and distributed in the United States by Anheuser-Busch, Inc.
